5th/6th Grade Jr Jazz 2025 - Winter 2025

Registration: June 24th, non- resident registration opens Aug 27th and closes Oct 30. As our programs grow our need for gym space also grows.  With limited gym space we have to cap this program so we do not have more kids than we have space for.  In order to help make sure we are providing the best possible opportunity for the citizens of Saratoga Springs we are limiting the first portion of registration to Saratoga Springs residents only. 

Where: Local Saratoga Springs Schools.

Who: Boys/Girls 5th and 6th Grade

When: Season starts January 4th. Games will be played on Saturdays for 5th and 6th grades. Practice times will be provided at local elementary schools and open times and days will be picked by your coach. One hour long practice a week will be provided.  

Resident Fees: $72 Non-Resident Fee: $98

League Amenities: 8 games, a jersey, 1 Jazz ticket voucher, and a participation medal.

Instructional Jr. Jazz Basketball (K-2) 2025 - Winter 2025

Instructional Jr. Jazz is a recreational program for kids to learn to play basketball. In this league players learn basic basketball skills. Focus is on learning basketball skills and learning to be part of a team. Games are played on Saturdays at various locations throughout Saratoga Springs. Practices will be held right before games are played on Saturdays. 

Registration is open from June 25th - October 28th at 11:59 pm

Jr Jazz 2025 (7th-8th) - Winter 2025

When: Season starts January 6. Games will be played on weeknights and Saturdays. Practice times will be provided at local elementary schools. One hour long practice a week will be provided.

League Amenities: 8 games, a jersey, 1 Jazz ticket voucher, and a participation medal. Grades 7th and up will have a single elimination post season tournament.

Jr. Jazz High School Free Agent 2025 - Winter 2025

High school Jr. Jazz is a bring your own team program.  Players will create their own teams.  A team captain will then register the team and pay for the program.  Each team member would then pay their team captain back their share.

If a player can't find a team to be on they can sign up as a free agent.  If we have enough free agents and enough room in the league we will form teams from the free agents.

Team Creation

Participants will sign up as a team.  During team registration the team fee will be charged to the team captain.

An adult must register the team. When enrolling you must pick an adult as the enrollee.  You will be able to add players to the roster later.

Cross Country 2024 - Fall 2024

Cross Country is designed to be a program to teach the basic skills of cross country.  Program includes at least 10 practices as well as at least 3 cross country meets.  The cross country program will compete against other programs from other city recreation departments so some travel with this program is required.

Where:  Practices will be held at Harvest Hills Park in Saratoga Springs.  Meets will be held at surrounding cities.

Who:   Ages 7-15 years old.

Ages are determined by USATF age guidelines which are birth year and not actual age.

When:  Season Starts August 12

Program Amenities

Practices and meets against other City programs. Each participant will also receive a team T-shirt.

Practices

There will be one or two practice days per week depending on the week with a total of 10 practices.  Practice days will be Monday and Thursday the first two weeks of the season.  Once meets start they will be held on Mondays with practices being Thursdays the remainder of the season.  Depending on registration numbers there will be two practice times in the evening as well (TBD).  Also depending on registration numbers the age groups will be divided evenly between the two practices.  Practices will be held at Harvest Hills Park.

Fall Soccer 2024 - Fall 2024

Fall Soccer is a recreational program for kids to learn to play soccer.  In this league players learn basic soccer skills.  Focus is on learning soccer skills and learning to be part of a team.  Games are played on Saturdays and some weeknights at various parks throughout Saratoga Springs.  Practice times will be determined by the coach. 

Registration for residents only is open from April 15th - May 13th at 11:59 pm

Registration for everyone is open from May 14th - June 10th at 11:59 pm

Wait List registration is open from 8:30 am June 11th - August 16th

This program has limited capacity and may fill before the registration deadline!  Do not wait to register or we may not have room for your participant to sign up.

When: The season starts October 5th and games will be on Saturdays. Weeknight practices and games on Saturdays.

Fall Adult Softball 2024 - Fall 2024

Saratoga Springs Recreation offers a single game Men’s league and a Coed league and Doubleheader Coed and Men's leagues. Single game leagues will have seven regular season games and a post-season tournament, Doubleheader leagues will have ten regular season games and a post-season tournament. Sponsors are welcome, all teams must provide their own jerseys-numbers are required.  

Participants may not play on multiple teams in the same league. 

Monday nights- Coed DH

Tuesday nights- Men's Single

Wednesday- Men's DH

Thursday- Coed Single

Games are 6:00, 7:00, 8:00, and 9:00

Men's Basketball 2024 - Fall 2024

Program Details 2024

Program changes for Fall 2024 season, space is INCREDIBLY limited and there will be a post-season tournament. To accommodate a two-week tournament, one week of game play has been removed from the regular season, most teams will have two playoff games. Teams will be split into upper/lower bracket for tournament play. 2nd place teams will not receive an award as in the past, only tournament champs will receive an award. 

Sign up your team to play in our Men’s basketball league. Each team will have 6 season games as well as a post-season tournament. Sponsors are welcome, all teams must provide their own jerseys. (Modified High School Rules)  

• Registration: June 24th for residents and July 22nd for non-residents and will close September 22nd. 
• Registration Fee: $475 per resident team, $550 for non-resident teams
• Season Start: Mid-end October
• When: Tuesdays, first game is at 6:00 
• Jerseys: Each team will be responsible for providing their own jerseys

Women's Indoor Volleyball 2024 - Fall 2024

Program changes for Fall 2024 season, league will be a doubleheader league. Space is INCREDIBLY limited and there will be a post-season tournament. Teams will be split into upper/lower bracket for tournament play. 2nd place teams will not receive an award as in the past, only tournament champs will receive an award. ALSO- note the day change, primarily Wednesday evenings, but there will be some Thursdays throughout the season (10/24 and 11/21).

(This program has limited capacity!! The program may be full before the end date!) 

When:  Games are on Wednesday nights and start at 6 PM

Who: Women 16 and up

Cost:  $400 per team

Includes: 12 matches and a post-season tournament
