Instructional Jr. Jazz Basketball (K-2) 2026 - Winter 2026

Instructional Jr. Jazz is a recreational program for kids to learn to play basketball. In this league players learn basic basketball skills. Focus is on learning basketball skills and learning to be part of a team. Games are played on Saturdays at various locations throughout Saratoga Springs. Practices will be held right before games are played on Saturdays. 

Registration is open from June 23rd - October 27th at 11:59 pm

As our programs grow our need for gym space also grows.  With limited gym space we have to cap this program so we do not have more kids than we have space for.  In order to help make sure we are providing the best possible opportunity for the citizens of Saratoga Springs we are limiting the first portion of registration to Saratoga Springs residents only. Registration for residents will open June 23.  Registration will open to all on August 26. If you miss the registration deadline you will be placed on a wait list. If there is room on a team you will be contacted to sign up. A $10 late fee will apply to those coming off the wait list.

Wait List registration is open from 8:30 am October 28th - January 17th

Jr. Jazz (High School) 2026 - Winter 2026

Team Creation

Participants will sign up as a team.  During team registration the team fee will be charged to the team captain.

An adult must register the team. When enrolling you must pick an adult as the enrollee.  You will be able to add players to the roster later.

Free Agents

Jr. Jazz High School Free Agent 2026 - Winter 2026

High school Jr. Jazz is a bring your own team program.  Players will create their own teams.  A team captain will then register the team and pay for the program.  Each team member would then pay their team captain back their share.

If a player can't find a team to be on they can sign up as a free agent.  If we have enough free agents and enough room in the league we will form teams from the free agents.

Instructional Jr Jazz Basketball 2025 (3rd-4th Grade) - Fall 2025

Where: Local Saratoga Springs Schools

Who: Boys and Girls 3rd and 4th grades 

When: The season starts October 4th and games will be on Saturdays. Weeknight practices and games on Saturdays. 

Resident Registration Dates and Fees: June 23rd- Sept 8th at 11:59 PM-  $72

Non-resident Registration Dates and Fees: July 21st- Sept 8th at 11:59 PM- $98

League Amenities: 8 games, a jersey, 1 Jazz ticket voucher, and a participation medal.

Jr Jazz 2026 (5th/6th Grade) - Winter 2026

League Details 2026

• Registration: June 23 2025 to October 27 2025.   Registration for residents will open June 23 2025.  Registration will open to all on August 26 2025. If you miss the registration deadline you will be placed on a wait list. If there is room on a team you will be contacted to sign up. A $10 late fee will apply to those coming off the wait list.

• When: Season starts January 12, 2026. Games will be played on Saturdays for 5th and 6th grades. Practice times will be provided at local elementary schools and open times and days will be picked by your coach. One hour long practice a week will be provided.  
• Resident Fees: $72
• Non-Resident Fee: $98
• League Amenities: 8 games, a jersey, 1 Jazz ticket voucher, and a participation medal.

Jr Jazz 2026 (7th-8th) - Winter 2026

Registration: June 23 to October 27.   Registration for residents will open June 23.  Registration will open to all on August 26. If you miss the registration deadline of October 27 you will be placed on a wait list. If there is room on a team you will be contacted to sign up. A $10 late fee will apply to those coming off the wait list. DUE TO LIMITED GYM SPACE THIS AGE GROUP IS CAPPED AND MAY FILL BEFORE THE DEADLINE.

Where: Local Saratoga Springs Schools. Some groups may play against other cities.

Who: Boys & Girls 7th through 8th Grade

When: Season starts January 10. Games will be played on weeknights and Saturdays. Practice times will be provided at local elementary schools. One hour long practice a week will be provided.  

Fees: $72 (Residents) $98 (Non Residents)

League Amenities: 8 games, a jersey, and 1 Jazz ticket voucher. Grades 7th and up will have a single elimination post season tournament.

2025 Fall Adult Softball - Fall 2025

Saratoga Springs Recreation offers a single game Men’s league and a Coed league and Doubleheader Coed and Men's leagues. Single game leagues will have seven regular season games and a post-season tournament, Doubleheader leagues will have ten regular season games and a post-season tournament. Sponsors are welcome, all teams must provide their own jerseys-numbers are required.  

Participants may not play on multiple teams in the same league. 

Monday nights- Coed DH

Tuesday nights- Men's Single

Wednesday- Men's DH

Thursday- Coed Single

Games are 6:00, 7:00, 8:00, and 9:00

2025 Men's Basketball - Fall 2025

Program Details 2025

Sign up your team to play in our Men’s basketball league. Each team will have eight season games as well as a post-season tournament single elimination tournament. Sponsors are welcome, all teams must provide their own jerseys. (Modified High School Rules)  

• Registration: June 23rd for residents and July 21st for non-residents and will close September 2nd. 
• Registration Fee: $650 per resident team, $875 for non-resident teams
• Season Start: October 14th
• When: Tuesdays, first game is at 6:00 
• Jerseys: Each team will be responsible for providing their own jerseys

2025 Women's Indoor Volleyball - Fall 2025

• Registration: Resident registration opens June 23rd, non-resident registration opens July 21st and closes September 2nd.
  • (This program has limited capacity!! The program may be full before the end date!) 
• When:  Games are on Wednesday nights and start at 6 PM. Season begins October 15th and runs to December 10th
• Where: Local schools
• Who: Women 16 and up
• Cost:  $425 per team
• Includes: 12 doubleheader matches and a post-season tournament double elimination tournament. Teams will be divided into an upper and lower bracket based on regular season record for the tournament. Awards will be given to 1st place team of each division only.

Beginner Pickleball Clinic (16+) October 2025 - Fall 2025

Beginner: Intro to Pickleball:

Do you want to learn how to play the fastest growing sport in Utah?! Register for our beginner Pickleball clinic to be taught the basics of Pickleball! Our clinic is taught by a professional Pickleball player who has been teaching clinics in Saratoga for more than four years. You will learn the basic rules and skills of playing Pickleball. Clinic sessions will be 90 minutes long once a week for a duration of three weeks. 

Beginner Clinic times: Monday, October 6th, 13th, 20th

6:00pm-7:30pm at the Pickleball courts at Patriot Park

 Cost: $75
Registration will close October 6th @9:00am. Spots are limited, register early! 

Cross Country 2025 - Fall 2025

Cross Country is designed to be a program to teach the basic skills of cross country.  Program includes at least 10 practices as well as at least 3 cross country meets.  The cross country program will compete against other programs from other city recreation departments so some travel with this program is required.

Where:  Practices will be held at Harvest Hills Park in Saratoga Springs.  Meets will be held at surrounding cities.

Who:   Ages 7-15 years old.

Ages are determined by USATF age guidelines which are birth year and not actual age.

When:  Season Starts August 11

Program Amenities

Practices and meets against other City programs. Each participant will also receive a team T-shirt.

Practices

There will be one or two practice days per week depending on the week with a total of 10 practices.  Practice days will be Monday and Thursday the first two weeks of the season.  Once meets start they will be held on Mondays with practices being Thursdays the remainder of the season.  Depending on registration numbers there will be two practice times in the evening as well (TBD).  Also depending on registration numbers the age groups will be divided evenly between the two practices.  Practices will be held at Harvest Hills Park.

Fall Soccer 2025 - Fall 2025

Fall Soccer is a recreational program for kids to learn to play soccer.  In this league players learn basic soccer skills.  Focus is on learning soccer skills and learning to be part of a team.  Games are played on Saturdays and some weeknights at various parks throughout Saratoga Springs.  Practice times will be determined by the coach. 

Registration for residents only is open from April 14th - May 12th at 11:59 pm

Registration for everyone is open from May 13th - June 9th at 11:59 pm

Wait List registration is open from 8:30 am June 10th - August 15th

This program has limited capacity and may fill before the registration deadline!  Do not wait to register or we may not have room for your participant to sign up.

Street Hockey League 2025 - Fall 2025

In collaboration with Utah Mammoth, we will be starting a Street Hockey League. Games will be structured to include time for teams to practice before games. Courts will have a board barrier to create a rink space for the game. Game play will be 4 v 4 + goalie or 5 v 5 + goalie. Registration for the program will include a jersey, a hockey stick, and a ticket voucher to a Utah Mammoth game.
