Instructional Jr. Jazz Basketball (K-2) 2026 - Winter 2026

Instructional Jr. Jazz is a recreational program for kids to learn to play basketball. In this league players learn basic basketball skills. Focus is on learning basketball skills and learning to be part of a team. Games are played on Saturdays at various locations throughout Saratoga Springs. Practices will be held right before games are played on Saturdays. 

Registration is open from June 23rd - October 27th at 11:59 pm

As our programs grow our need for gym space also grows.  With limited gym space we have to cap this program so we do not have more kids than we have space for.  In order to help make sure we are providing the best possible opportunity for the citizens of Saratoga Springs we are limiting the first portion of registration to Saratoga Springs residents only. Registration for residents will open June 23.  Registration will open to all on August 26. If you miss the registration deadline you will be placed on a wait list. If there is room on a team you will be contacted to sign up. A $10 late fee will apply to those coming off the wait list.

Wait List registration is open from 8:30 am October 28th - January 17th

Jr. Jazz (High School) 2026 - Winter 2026

Team Creation

Participants will sign up as a team.  During team registration the team fee will be charged to the team captain.

An adult must register the team. When enrolling you must pick an adult as the enrollee.  You will be able to add players to the roster later.

Free Agents

Players who do not have a team may sign up for the free agent list.

Jr. Jazz High School Free Agent 2026 - Winter 2026

High school Jr. Jazz is a bring your own team program.  Players will create their own teams.  A team captain will then register the team and pay for the program.  Each team member would then pay their team captain back their share.

If a player can't find a team to be on they can sign up as a free agent.  If we have enough free agents and enough room in the league we will form teams from the free agents.

Jr Jazz 2026 (5th/6th Grade) - Winter 2026

League Details 2026

• Registration: June 23 2025 to October 27 2025.   Registration for residents will open June 23 2025.  Registration will open to all on August 26 2025. If you miss the registration deadline you will be placed on a wait list. If there is room on a team you will be contacted to sign up. A $10 late fee will apply to those coming off the wait list.
• Where: Local Saratoga Springs Schools.
• Who: Boys and Girls 5th/6th Grade
• When: Season starts January 12, 2026. Games will be played on Saturdays for 5th and 6th grades. Practice times will be provided at local elementary schools and open times and days will be picked by your coach. One hour long practice a week will be provided.  
• Resident Fees: $72
• Non-Resident Fee: $98
• League Amenities: 8 games, a jersey, 1 Jazz ticket voucher, and a participation medal.

Jr Jazz 2026 (7th-8th) - Winter 2026

Registration: June 23 to October 27.   Registration for residents will open June 23.  Registration will open to all on August 26. If you miss the registration deadline of October 27 you will be placed on a wait list. If there is room on a team you will be contacted to sign up. A $10 late fee will apply to those coming off the wait list. DUE TO LIMITED GYM SPACE THIS AGE GROUP IS CAPPED AND MAY FILL BEFORE THE DEADLINE.

Where: Local Saratoga Springs Schools. Some groups may play against other cities.

Who: Boys & Girls 7th through 8th Grade

When: Season starts January 10. Games will be played on weeknights and Saturdays. Practice times will be provided at local elementary schools. One hour long practice a week will be provided.  

Fees: $72 (Residents) $98 (Non Residents)

League Amenities: 8 games, a jersey, and 1 Jazz ticket voucher. Grades 7th and up will have a single elimination post season tournament.
